Ph.D Chamber of Commerce & Industry, a leading Industry Chamber of India, ever since its inception in 1905, has been an active participant in the India Growth Story through its Advocacy Role for the Policy Makers and Regulators of the Country and has been supporting entrepreneurship at various levels, mainly at MSME level.

The Chamber has a functional Startup Committee and Coaching and Mentoring cell which is working closely with Central and State Governments and motivating youth for different models of entrepreneurship. Many MOUs have been signed and of Innovation and Startup related events have been organised by Ph.D Chamber to foster Startup ecosystem in India. Some of the MoUs for promoting innovations and entrepreneurship are signed with notable institutions viz. Cluster Innovation Centre, Delhi University; Jawahar Lal Nehru University; Nexus, American Embassy Incubator; F6S; Chitkara University; Punjab University, Chandigarh; Punjabi University, Patiala and many others. less

Rationale for setting of DCM Shriram-Ph.D Incubation Centre

An entrepreneur who has a product/service idea and wants to start a business around it has to go from pillar to post and encounter various problems ranging from Government formalities to funding to marketing. Large number of Startups, even with good products/services, thus fails. They require hand-holding at the early stage to survive and succeed. Ph.D. Chamber, with its tremendous resources, can play a leading role in supporting Startups so that they do not have to rely only on Government grants for becoming successful and thus create value and generate employment. read more

Intended Goals of DCM Shriram-Ph.D Chamber Incubation Centre

The Center will carry forward the legacy of Shriram Group of nurturing innovation & entrepreneurship and will support/mentor budding Startups to become successful Unicorns in the years to come. The Center will aim to improve the dynamics of innovation to influence the "status quo". Through its advocacy and expertise it will strive to encourage and create an ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET among the youth in India with the aim to make INDIA A STARTUP NATION of the world.
